Police Brutality?

STFU When You Speak To Me
I heard they shot him. My cousin's friend's sister's mom was there. They shot him 12 times in the face. Then they opened up on the crowd with a machine gun. Then they burned all the Xboxes and destroyed the surveillance tapes. It's true though. She saw it.

yeah yeah
If the guy would have just kept his cool, and minded his manners, none of this would have happened. He chose to buck up, get smart and start cussing- along with getting physical with the police officer. The girlfriend was screaming to get off of him (to the police) yet, the guy was the one that advanced on them. That boy/young man and his girlfriend caused alot of ruckus for nothing! Everyone around them was standing in line like they should. Nothing more nothing less, and then they had to get cocky.

Of course, people are going to go nuts when the black wrap is stripped off, that is the nature of black friday. It is all about the game along with getting what you want. If you cannot keep your cool or your attitude in check.. stay the eff home and shop online. Seriously people, it could have been avoided, yet mr. man that CAUSED the brutality (not the police) will now not be playing ANY xbox for a while. It was uncalled for and ridculous- and the girlfriend/wife/whomever she is didn't help the situation either by acting like a lunatic.

Stupid people.

STFU When You Speak To Me
Wii XBox 360 and PS3 have all been on the market for over 2 years now. I could understand if they just came out today. But damn, all those same specials were available on line like 2 days ago with free shipping. Not to mention the fact that they could have bought any of that stuff any time since 2006. 2 guys in California shot each other to death in a Toys R Us today too. Bet their families are proud.

IT's ALL RED
Check this out: the quote in this post, #75 & #77 are attributed to sommpd when they should be attributed to solidsison, who actually said that in the first place. What's up with the quoting function here? And this one is showing up in the preview pane as being attributed to solidsison when it is actually somdmpd who said the quoted piece. Are you guys using the "reply with quote" option in the posts or should I just hang it up & go to bed for the night because now I'm just totally confused about trying to keep track of who's said what! :twitch:

So what your saying is I actually need to point my energy towards Hockey?

U should stfu! and go eat your bon bons. I was there, got my xbox and when I turned around I saw this crap goin on. The story is pretty accurate. And no tazer was released! All I saw was the laser aimed on both their chests but no officer fired. Before you slander people go to your buddy house and take your psch meds, otherwise like I said stfu! And by the way I am related to shane and yes he did get beat up for no reason, and yes they did not handle the case like they should have. I know, cause I was there for both incidents, you weren't. And by the way your screename is listed it sounds like you are a cop yourself, just defending what wrong occurred.
2 whole posts to your credit and there you are, running off at the mouth like you grew a chest hair and became a man.

Back in the day on SOMDOnline, you would have received a whole lot of green karma and a few stupid people would have dared type in some stupid comment and they would have been loaded up with red karma....

Back in the day women trying to get a doll for their children would have had a fist fight in the toy section and then we would have to call the police... now they book the police in advance...

I miss the days of karma... the days of social standards... the days of accountability... :coffee:

Gotta love it when cops are on the payroll of private citizens.

So much for justice without passion or prejudice.

First off, I never called anyone a moron. I quoted someone else who did. Now MORON, listen up. I sincerely doubt that what you pay in taxes pays my entire salary. I am certain that there are some anonymous morons who hold down jobs and pay taxes, so in that you are correct. There are morons who contribute to my salary. But I would challenge you to give me one industry where people don't contribute to someone elses salary. So therefore, I don't come down to Mcdonalds and tell you when to turn the fries, so don't tell me what to do when I am off duty on my own time. As a matter of fact, don't tell me what to do when I am on duty on my own time.

I am not representing any police department here. I have never said where I work, so I can do as I like.

What are you talking about? The reason Walmart and others hire "security" is because some citizens can't seem to control themselves.

That said. When private companies hire police it serves multiple purposes.
1) It relieves "on duty" police from having to be in the area when they suspect there may be problems. There is NO DOUBT that police in the county are short handed.

2) It alleviates the taxpayer from paying them for police work. Walmart simply pays for "police presence". Hopefully, that works to prevent any bad behavior. When it does not work the police now have to go "on-duty" to take police action.

This really is quite a simple concept. It is a win-win for the taxpayer and the business.

Police officers can work part time jobs. Some have to, to pay bills.
Also there is a distinction between part-time security work where you do have some sort of uniform on. Just the same a police officer could be working as a shelf stocker in Lowes as a part-time job. He cold be armed and if needed take police action.

I call :bs:

Using the police lets these retailers get off cheap from having to maintain their own security folks.

Furthermore, the taxpayers pay dearly to train and equip police officers, which retailers exploit by using them off-duty.

I have a question scenario for you: Say you're working off-duty at Walmart and get hurt and it ends in permanent disability. Who pays?
