SALEM, Ore. (KOIN) — An active shooter situation is underway near the vicinity of the Walmart on 1940 Turner Road, Salem Police confirmed to KOIN 6.

Police are exchanging gunfire with the shooter and a K-9 police dog has been shot. The store is on lockdown.
