On Thursday, March 5, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Bob’s Sunoco (The Beer Cave), on Piney Point Road in Callaway, for the reported robbery.

Police arrived on scene and discovered multiple suspects had entered the business and stole between 25 and 30 guns, and fled prior to the arrival of law enforcement in an unknown direction.

The suspects descriptions are currently unavailable, with police not releasing any details at this time due to the incident being under investigation.

"20 - 30 guns"....dang..They don't have a lot of guns in stock, so that number is close to "most of them". They probably just left the shotguns and bolt-action rifles (they keep those loop-locked anyway..although if the thieves knew that in advance they could have brought bolt cutters and made short work of the cable) and took all the hand guns.

That truly sucks. And meanwhile, MD lawmakers are hell bent on making the rest of us in to criminals overnight with some of their legislative proposals...

And it wasn't an "armed robbery"....it was an "arms robbery"..

Edit: Nope...armed robbery. Wow!

They list their hours as open to 9 pm and this robbery happened at 8:30 pm, so maybe it was an armed arms robbery. :sshrug:
It was. More on the story:

On March 5, 2020, at approximately 8:05 p.m. two male suspects concealing their faces, entered Bob’s Sunoco located at 20321 Piney Point Road in Callaway. The suspects brandished firearms at an employee and proceeded to remove multiple firearms from a display case. Both suspects then fled the scene. No injuries were reported in the robbery.

just two male suspects, no physical description what so ever, no pictures?
Hopefully LE has more information to go on than that.

If MD Dems had their way the sale of a shotgun to your neighbor would net more jail time than these cats stealing these guns.

Indeed, but they had probably scoped the place out and knew there would be minimal workers and/or customers at that time. Low hanging fruit with easy in and out. :frown:
Sure hope this doe not affect my beer points there...

But seriously, I hope they find the scum and the firearms quickly. I have to think Bob would have a good camera system installed, not that I ever looked for it.

I hope so, too. Could be why there aren't releasing photos from the actual robbery as they may have a pretty good clue as to who the culprits are.

"The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the community’s assistance with information on a robbery ..."

Which means that they are pretty much inept at solving pretty much anything. Hasn't been a day yet, and already they need help. Exactly why are they paid so much? Especially with the resent, crybaby, wage increases?

So, in the comments over at Baynet, someone said it was silly that no footage was released if there were cameras. Another commenter said "Duh, of course we have footage, but of course we are not releasing it."

Not sure if they want help, they dont let folks see what they are looking for. Colors/types of clothing, skin color, what sort of vehicle, any of that. Not sure what help people can give. "Yep, I saw two guys that evening in Callaway. they were in a vehicle". I just dont get it.

On a related note, good thing the guys in Annapolis want me to run a background check on a guy who I've know since 1984 before letting him borrow my pistol to go to the range.

Why thank you. That's what all the ladies say. "You sure have a Class 1 prick there LR. How about round two?".

But lets me get this right. The Sheriff's Office is given a huge budget, to pay overinflated wages to a bunch of pouting crybabies, and already they are seeking the public's help. JHFC. They haven't even given a description of the suspects yet. They sure do ask a lot of the public. And if, a big, if, a citizen provided actionable information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators, the Sheriff's Office, and those deputies involved, would take all the credit as if they are the greatest thing since sliced bread and explaining why they were warranted that pay increase. Yeah. GFYS. Boot licker.
