Misfit

Lawful neutral
After seeing a zillion posts by Lance only to be deleted minutes later, I say we vote on whether or not to permanently ban him from the forums. The constant waste of real estate is maddening...
Lord of the flies.

If you want a further clarification a/o have any questions, feel free to ask this user, plus if you want a one on one in person meet to discuss this further, just say so Mr. Maybe U`ll even answer yr fon 1st?
That can most def be arranged, & on a neutral basis/location! maybe sooner than U may think!! You may think twice b4 U venture into unknown territories.
So what if your plan backfires and you get your ass beat?

I'd like to see Lance fall down a well and decompose into an algae covered ball of squirming feces. However, I would only like to see this if it is of his own doing preferably while he's doing something stupid and Karma decides enough is enough.

That said, I am totally against banning someone just because they're a huge bag of used horse douche. If he's following the rules, it doesn't matter that he sucks wet ass.

I can deal with brainless asinine rejects from society in real life, I can deal with it here too.

I wouldn't be in favor of him being banned just because he quickly deletes most posts or based on a generally annoying nature. I would, however, be in favor of him being banned because he routinely violates forum rules (e.g. threatening people, unabashed racism), if such is the case. I would hope that admins could read deleted posts so as to be able to determine for themselves whether he violates rules often enough to warrant being banned (or, obviously, whether they feel he sure be banned for whatever other reason they might have). I haven't read enough of his posts to have a definitive opinion myself, but my sense is that he's probably earned a banning.

That said, how effective can an IP-banning really be? I realize (or at least think) that vrai has to approve new screen names before they can start posting, but how hard would it be to get around an IP-banning and continually register new screen names? It shouldn't require more than a tiny bit of cleverness. While many fool's errands are likely to result in little more than an innocuous waste of effort, some are likely to exacerbate the problem they're meant to mitigate. My guess would be that a banning in this case would be more likely to exacerbate the perceived problem than to mitigate it.
