What it comes down to is you cannot speak ill of the veteran/POW, but you can of the Senator.

Normally I'm astonished by stuff like this - the constant switching between admiration for the man and utter contempt.
The author is right - they loved the guy when he opposed Republicans - they hated him when he was on their side.
After 2000, we all heard from the left that even THEY would have voted for McCain had HE been the nominee. Eight years
later, they couldn't trash him enough.
They act as though most of us have short memories.
