Polynesian dancers for wedding

sonsorae

What now?!
I know there is a local group in our area. My parents are getting married next month with a Hawaiian theme and I want to surprise them with a performance from this group.

I've seen them several years ago at the Leonardtown Square Beach event, but I don't know the name of the organization/business.

Please pm me if you have any information on local groups performing the polynesian dance (hula dancing).

I'm not Polynesian but I'll dance for your parents. My friends say that my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. I'll come dance for your parents, but I'll have to charge.

Contact Rec & Parks at 301-475-4200 x1800 or x1801 and ask for Sandie. Hula classes have been offered in the program guide before. She can probably provide you with the instructor's contact info. and you can go from there. I bet the instructor know the group in question.

Another fine example of your lame humor. Why would you want the boys to watch you shake your milkshake?

You can call Linda Shepherd at the Town Offices. I think the # is 301-475-9791. She organizes the Town events. She may be able to help you.

If you must really know, they have been together for 26 years but never married. My mother was receiving a widow's pension that she would have lost if she remarried. Recently, we discovered VA will allow you to keep your pension and remarry after the age of 57. So this is all new and very exciting for all of us!
