A house I'm looking at buying has an inground pool. Problem is....the pool is nasty looking, icky water & plants/weeds growing in it...picture attached

Has anyone ever had to repair/redo a pool?? How much did it cost? Anybody in this business that can give any useful advice?
TIA

Considering there are trees growing in it... it looks to me like you'd have to dig it all out and start over again with a new pool.

I am currently having my inground pool liner replaced will probably cost about 5 to 6 thousand dollars. The company is great you can check out their website Aquatic Services it is a family owned and operated business. One of the owners is Gary Gamble. Good luck with your choice.:howdy:

It is taking longer for mine because he is working us in-between other clients of his. I have a family connection with his concrete company so he is doing us a favor.

P.S. pools are great once they are up and running properly!!

Lesiure world have always done us right with our pool. They are offering a discount and i can assure you it won't cost 5-6K. Usually liners run anywhere between 1-2K. that's what we have paid in the past for a 16x32 liner and your pool looks a little bit smaller. i have a house for sale with an inground pool and it's clean. LOL :)

I was factoring in that there are more than likely other repairs that will be needed as well. I.E. broken pipes, skimmers, coping, and steps

We use County Wide Pools for EVERYTHING when it comes to our pool.

They came in and replaced our liner for $3200. It is 18X36. That included smoothing out the bottom of the pool so you have a completely flat surface before putting the new liner in, and 3 tankers full of water.

(301) 934-9524 is the office where you schedule for it to be done. For our regular pool needs we call April at Countywide in Mechanicsville.

Here's a pic of our pool with the new liner. :yay:
