we have a pool, and at our other house we had a pool too, we have used both, my personel fav' is the baquacil, it is so kind to skin and hair, and you can still swim when you have treated the pool. It is more expensive then chlorine, but well worth it, we use chlorine now and I hate how it makes your skin and hair and clothes feel.
friend of mine uses the salt system. Her kids n dh have sensitive skin, easier on them and their budget according to her.
It's nice not coming home from her house and smelling of chorline. my ds is sensitive too. After an afternoon at the cove point pool which was lots of fun, his arms and legs were broken out from all the chorline- too much.
