I had my normal blood test done recently. I'm doing really well, considering I have been diagnosed with Metastatic Colon Cancer and I've also had a couple spots of Squamous on my arms.
Then I had this blood test.... my CEA [cancer] numbers are actually a little down... Go MMJ! BUT my red blood cell count is way down and my white cell count is too high.... so, the PCP wants me to see the Hematologist/Oncologist.... bummer. They want to give me someone else's blood... with someone else's hidden problems.
I've starting falling again. That's what Dr. Cafferty treated me for.... balance issues and neurological issues.
So, I checked my symptoms to see where they line up with the cancer, the Lyme, and just getting old.
Well, my symptoms all line up with Lyme. It's the only one they all line up with.... even the forgetting words that I'm blaming on getting old.
My dad was stationed at New London and Groton for about 8 years. We lived in the woods in Gales Ferry. We had deer! Getting a tick bite on the back of the leg or in the hair or somewhere else we wouldn't see it would be a likely thing. I walked my dog in the woods. I played on boulders in the woods. I raked leaves and jumped in them.
So.... now I'm in Arizona.... and I haven't seen a deer since I got here several years ago.
Do you think my hematologist will consent to putting me on doxycycline for a couple weeks? I think he'll just stick to the you need a transfusion prognosis and consider me crazy.... which I probably am .... I've got Lyme....
Dr. Cafferty... if you are still around... would you give me a hint how to sell the doxy plan???
