Poor Chihuahua:(

I saw a tiny (no more than 5lb) Chihuahua locked in a car on my street in the freezing cold. It was crying and jumping and all trying to get out. I was so sad and pissed off at someone for doing that. Ive had a small Chihuahua before so I know how they can get cold quickly, mine used to get chilly even in the summer!! Some people dont deserve pets I swear.

Did ya call the cops?
Just how cold was it?
Sitting in a closed car in the sunshine is kinda nice and warm!

No it wasnt running and it was there for over an hour from when I noticed... I felt so terrible for the little thing and I didnt know if anyone was coming for it I tried calling animal control but they were closed (it being Sunday) so I called the non emergency number for the sherrifs Dept. and they sent someone out.

This trashy looking hot mess came out and acted really annoyed that she had to get the dog and bring it in her house. I dont know if she stuck it back in her car after the officer left or what...

Im just still mad about it because if she did that then she probably treats the poor thing bad all the time...

It was freezing cold and in the shade. Anyway that thing was super tiny... it couldnt have had much body weight. My chihuahua used to get cold even in the summer at night time. It was like 4:30 when I saw it... so not really any sunshine

Call Animal Control and have them do a follow up visit. With what youve said, I think they have grounds for it.

Glad you reported her. Hopefully that won't occur again but who knows how the little one is being treated inside where no one can see.
