not that i know of as I don't leave things out for her to get into. I haven't changed her catfood or any of that either. as soon as I get ahold of my mom to find out what time she can take me up to the vet I will then call and see if they can see me or not as the last few times I have needed to get the dog in they told me no. They never save any apts for sick or injured animals they always want you to pay for an emergency visit to the vet and I don't have 76 plus whatever the vet is going to charge me for everytime my animals get sick or injured (they must think everyone is made of money).

You can wait it out for a day or so. Leave her water but take up the food for 24 hours..I know you have two cats..see if you can confine Shadow. Get some plain yogurt, that can help her get her intestinal bacteria back to normal. Make sure the litter box is kept very clean. You could also see if the vet would check a stool sample for you without needing a visit for the cat.

Good luck..let me know how she does.

i am on my way to clean out the litter box now as she really did stink up my bedroom. oh i forgot to mention she loves dog food. I keep a full bowl of her food down but if the dogs food is down she goes right to it and eats it. She is a weird cat that is all I have to say

You can also give her a little canned pumpkin..not the pie mix but straight pumpkin. Not too much but see if she will eat a tablespoon or so...just put it in her mouth a little at a time.

also one other thing i just remembered the other night (saturday) she knocked a baking potatoe off of the top of the fridge and went and batted it around and there were bite marks from both her and bruno in it maybe that is what caused the runs.

I had a problem with cat diarrhea a while back and a stool sample revealed that he had both a parasitic and bacterial infection even though he was an inside cat 99.9% of the time and had been on regular frontline for years. It became rather serious fast, the bacterial infection was causing him to slough off intestinal lining and he had bloody stools very quickly after the diarrhea started. Keep a close eye on this and good luck.

thanks sonsie. I am keeping a close on her and shes acting like a spaz today and running all over the place. I have made sure shes got plenty of water and no food today to see if it will help or not. she hasn't gone back to the box again since she went this am. I also have another female who i have to keep an eye on too as she 14 soon to be 15 comes the middle of october (shes outlived the other 2 cats I had prior). She doesn't like to be held or any of that she just likes to be by herself and come out from under my bed from time to time (shes afraid of the dog).
