Any suggestions? I am not technical computer savy but just want these annoying pop ups to go away

IE with Chrome as a backup.
Go to tools and make sure pop up blocker is on.

Pop Ups are blocked...I don't understand the manage add ons thing...there is a list of things but from my virus software and Microsoft. I get pop ups when I click on somd.com and youtube.com and tvland.com. I tend to get videos in the background (in two spots) that I have to close out. So very annoying and I don't know how to make it stop.
In IE go to tools and manage add-ons, one of the selections.
Look for $hit that you don't use.

Do you have any tool bars installed? I have seen a few that will make life a living hell with pop ups. Also you should just not use IE and use either Chrome or Firefox as a primary. The only thing I will use IE for is to go to another browsers website to download said browser.
