Girlfriends laptop has a popup on it and I think its messed up more things than just putting popup on there. Its called "ads by dcad" I searched but couldnt find much on how to get rid of this little bugger.

Also I cant do "windows key" + E to bring up my computer. it instead brings up the start bar.

Im thinking about just putting xp back on there and calling it quits.

depends on the situation... depends on how dee the spyware has pentrated... if its gone to far then it will need to ge fdiskd.....

Ive tried many things and nothing has worked... Im just going to wipe it and call it a day. I dont feel like picking through there and trying to make it work

some links, don't know how much help they'll be though :shrug:

Usually those types of things come down to it just being easier to wipe the whole drive and start over instead of going through the hassle, unless there is something vital on the system :shrug:

it has pentrated to deep to even clean now... might as wel save data and whoosh ;)
