HOLY COW!!! I know my Nemo is on the porky side, but not quite that bad. We have started leash training him so we can take him on walks. He is not too keen on this idea, but it's better than being a little piggy.

You're kidding right? He immediately rolls over on his back and thinks he can't move. I don't even think you can see the leash in all his porkiness! :lmao:

However the next time we have him geared up I will try to take a picture just for you!

Cat came from a woman whose house was being foreclosed on.

Fat N.J. cat's origins uncovered: He was abandoned - Yahoo! News

Maybe she could have made her mortgage payments if she hadn't been feeding her feline friend a Costco size bag of Meow Mix every week.

He looks like a big ol' squishy cat pillow, but I can imagine he's got all sorts of back and joint issues from all that bulk.

Relative of mine had a cat named Powder with similar markings/coloring, but a girl and not as chunky.

The cat's foster mom says that the cat has a thyroid problem and the weight wasn't caused by over-feeding. Said that the cat doesn't eat any more than her other cats.

OK that would explain it. Hope this means it's treatable. There was this one thyroid med that half the cats in Waldorf must have been on when I worked for CVS.
