Positive plug for Mr. Tire - California, MD

I had the best experience recently and we see many posts with businesses being blasted for their poor service, but fewer with positive experiences. So here's mine...

A couple weeks ago I was near the bridge to Solomon's headed toward 235 when I heard what sounded like I ran over an aluminum can. I looked in the mirror and saw nothing, felt nothing, and I just kept on going. A bit further down the road my temp gauge was reading higher with a flashing red indicator. The temp was up over the half way mark and climbing. I could see the slightest mist behind me so I pulled over and investigated. Under my hood was a lot of antifreeze, but the overflow bottle was still above the low mark. After investigating I realized the radiator was cool to the touch....and the fan was wobbly. So the water pump had failed internally.

This was a Sunday before noon. I called Mr. Tire to see if they could do the work since the Dodge dealer here seemed to be doing very little business and I did not want my truck to be there if they closed up shop. The gentleman with Mr. Tire stated they could do the work and he gave me a number to a tow company that they call upon when necessary. Within 30 minutes my truck was on a tow truck and on its way to Mr. Tire.

Here's the best part. 2 1/2 hours after I left their shop I received a call that my truck was ready to pick up. I had asked for the water pump to be replaced, the coolant system flushed, the oil changed and tires rotated. This was Sunday afternoon around 2:30 and I had a vehicle repaired and serviced without any notice to the shop. This was the California Mr. Tire behind BJ's.

They have always done good work for me, but this reaffirmed my faith in their work. Thanks to all at Mr. Tire!
