Positive Vibration Reggae Band was formed in 1981 by Jamaican Veteran hit-maker, Carl Malcolm. His popularity began in 1974 with his first hit “No Jestering”, which became No. 1 on the Ja, Top Ten, and stayed on the charts for seventeen weeks. It was also a major hit in the United States, Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Shortly after Carl landed another major hit called “Miss Wire Waist.” He was by then on a roll, so then came the million seller entitled, “Fattie Bum Bum.” This record produced by (Randy's Records now known as V.P. in Queens, NY) entered the British charts at No. 13, then moved up to No. 3 in 7 weeks.

Touring through various states in the U.S., Virgin Islands, Europe, Bahamas, and other Caribbean Islands, up to date Carl has recorded over 100 songs. Some can be heard from CD's entitled, “New Born”, and “You Are Not Alone”, and on his first album entitled, “Carl Malcolm Tonight.”



Carl's song's have been covered by International Stars, like Bette Midler doing “No Lestering,” on her album called, “Songs for New Depression.” “Fattie Bum Bum,” covered by Balford Linsly in Canada, Byron Lee in Jamaica, Mustakit in Finland, Lloyd Hemmings in Jamaica, Al Brown doing “Up from the Ghetto,” and Aneeta Malcolm doing “Grass is Greener.” “Wire Waist,” also covered by Byron Lee, Scotty, and Owen Grey, to mention a few.

Carl has appeared with Jimmy cliff, Bob Marley, Shaggy, Third World, Dennis Brown, Maxi Prest, Yellow Man Taxi Gang, Inner Circle, and many of the top Reggae Artists.

Carl, as a producer, has produced two CD's mentioned above. He has also produced several singles for various singers.

So far I got ya signed up for lawn care, siding for your house, doggy training, rotorooter, roofing, driver training, spanish lessons, voice training, piano lessons..Guess you'll be getting some salespeople calling ya soon.
