A friend of mine suggested pet sitting. Thing is, I work days, as many do.
The trouble would be finding people to pet sit for, who don't. Right?

I'll have to eat my pet :bawl: .....maybe pet cooking classes

:bawl:

No different than cooking any other animal. It's probably just a matter of learning the right butchering techniques and figuring out which spices will compliment it. Oh and I'm guessing that anything butter, lemon, and garlic will compliment a kitty steak. I'd also recommend white wine. If you're leaning more to the Fido side, then try tossing in some ginger and black pepper. I'd recommend some red wine while consuming Fido.

Good petsitters are licensed, bonded and insured, are legitimate businesses, have experience with pet 1st aid and so on. It usually takes a few years to become established.

I completely trust my petsitter in my home and with my pets. She also takes my pets to her home (which is not the norm for most petsitters)

Where I admire your desire to supplement your income, starting a petsitting business is probably not the way to go.

i don't think any pt job will help offset how much i'm losing during the furlough. retail is out of the question, i'd spend whatever i make. work what, minimum wage job? it would be a waste of time, i'd get pissed at someone and probably fired, then my clearance would be a risk.

i'm just going to volunteer. and play the lottery.

Two possibly lucrative ideas.....

I thought the same thing when that was suggested; as well as 'probably not the way to go.'

Well, I know Johnny Cheseldine. Maybe he'll give me Saturdays and Sundays at the car wash if I ask him.

The trickle down effect from this will probably mean retailers will be scaling back on hiring. We have had many people saying they will be scaling back on their pet purchases. Though I haven't seen it yet, I am anticipating it. I am also anticipating putting more hours in since I am the only person not getting a paycheck.

Wendy's is hiring. I'm thinking of applying for a job there and having a frosty with french fries every day I work and being Susy Sunshine and showing those kids how to hustle behind the counter while being polite and nice. :yahoo:
