Today, April 20, 2021, at approximately 12 p.m. a large funeral procession for Calvert County Sheriff's Office Deputy First Class William "Wes" Beisel will leave Mattingly Gardiner Funeral Home in Leonardtown. The procession will travel through Leonardtown and turn left on Point Lookout Road, and continue northbound on Point Lookout to MD 238 Chaptico Road. The procession will continue onto Dr. Johnson Road and ultimately conclude at the Queen of Peace Cemetery. Traffic in these areas may experience a delay while DFC Beisel is escorted to his final resting place.
