Post Office Problems?

Anyone have problems mailing stuff out of Waldorf and it taking a long time to get where it's going?

Now, I know that from Waldorf it goes to a central location in PG Co somewhere to be sorted and sent on to where it needs to go.

We mailed a bunch of things there last week and none of it has arrived where it's supposed to be...one of those things being the SMECO bill going to Hughesville. How hard can that be?

Mailed something else by sticking it in the box at my driveway. From there it goes to Mechanicsville PO, then to that same central location in PG then out again. Mailed it yesterday afternoon and it got to it's destination in Greenbelt this morning.

WTF??

The Waldorf Post Office was rated the worst Post Office in the US. We use White Plains and never have a problem

fedex

Relax, it's fedex
Id suggest using FEDEX for all documents, I hate to be biased, but the tracking systems that the united states postal service uses isnt nearly as accurate and probably never will be. When you compare ups, and fedex to usps its a eaasy decision on what route to take !

I pay everything electronically. I ordered something from National Geographic, and they only gave me the option of paying via snail mail. So I wrote the check, bought a stamp and mailed it from work in NE DC to NW DC. This was last month. They still haven't gotten my check. The mail system sucks.

A few people I know have had their money stolen that way and I KNOW spyware occasionally pops up on my computer, so I don't trust that system.

The rent check for both my parent's property and my brother's property took nearly a month to get to Leonardtown when it was paid with bill pay through Bank of America. The checks were cut and mailed in a timely manner, but it took forever to get to the PO box in Leonardtown.

I've been using Online banking from Mechantile SO Md bank for about 2 years with no problems. If it has a post office address it can be paid electronicly(sp) Its been so long for me buying a stamp I could'nt remember how much they are.

if you will
Hmm, does my outgoing mail from my mailbox in White Plains get processed through Waldorf? If so, rut roh!

I've only sent packages from the Waldorf PO a few times. Once I sent an insured package to my sis that never arrived. After a regimented claims process and a looooong wait, I only got $116 back from my $150 insurance. That sucked.

So yeah, I guess I've had problems too (though I don't know if the Ghetto-dorf PO is specifically to blame).
