Probably the closest to you in California is Myrtle Point. I haven't been there in years so I can't tell you what it's like now. Sounds like a good thing to do this afternoon.

Horseback riding, nature hikes, kyaking, sailboating, water recreation activities - skiing tubing etc, sotterly plantation, port tobacco, make a day trip to dc and visit the smithsonian, the mall, the various other museums, see a play, check out events at the fairgrounds, check out events at the St. Mary's University campus, go see the river concert series, atv's & MUDding, fishing, crabbing, hunting in season, check with the local libaries to see what special kid day events they are offering, there is also the extension that offers nature exploration series for kids....there is lots more....but this should keep ya busy til winter...

didn't know it was illegal for non-caucasions to utilize the things their tax dollars help fund. what next? shall we sit in the back of the bus too? and dine in a different establishment than you? please make your recreational plans known so the less-than-worthy will know where NOT to go when your highness is seeking some priss recreation.

guess this means my invite to the KKK bbq is out now, too. :frown:

:barf: another one huh? I didnt say there was anything wrong with who goes where but if I choose to not go somewhere because I felt uncomfortable case 11,000 hispanics were there, then that is my right is it not? I dont slight them for going not in the least and I come from a very diverse community, no problem. But when some idiot suggests that I am slighting others then I have to respond.
To the rest of you thanks for the help. I am looking for some of these places as we speak.

I didn't suggest you were slighting others. I quoted your admittance to not wanting to hang out with other than caucasions.

How about boating, fishing, water skiing, canoeing, hiking, biking, flying, movies, music, one of the carnivals or even fossil hunting for chrissakes. And that's just what I can come up with in 60 seconds.

What a bunch of whining twits.

its when a person forgets to spell check their writing. :blushing: but if i'm not worthy of enjoying a beach I help fund, I probably must be stupid enough to not know how to spell check my writing.

not true. you qoted nothing.
See it wasnt so much me that felt uncomfortable cuz I am an ex cop and I can anywhere without being uncomfortable. But my wife said she felt like a piec of meat there. Especially being the only woman in a bathing suit. The crowds of men that gathered allon the grass line and the sudden pic up games of soccer near here was more than evident. So there you go.
