Potomac Mills Is Gone!!!!!!!

Pardon me for being so ignorant and not bothering to keep up on stuff, but I didn't realize that the Potomac Mills shopping center had been taken down to make room for something else. I'll admit I haven't been there for seven or eight years.

I was cruising down I-95 this morning, after staying overnight in DC after a wild party, so I decided on the spur of the moment to mall-crawl Potomac Mills just because I had the time. All signs to it are still up. But when I got there, there was a chain-link fence blocking off the entrance and the whole place had been leveled to the ground and there were vast quantities of construction machines busily beginning to build new stuff.

Gosh, gee, it was such a nice big mall. I'll always remember it fondly. I wonder what they're building in its place.

My friend, who lives 10 minutes from there, bought shoes there on Saturday.
And I just called to confirm and they're still open. Ornery is talking about the Vans skate park, I presume.

Yea, I'm doubting that also, lets define 'wild party'.
My wife is on travel duty in Arlington for three weeks so I drove up yesterday and we went out doing a buncha fun stuff in DC and then I stayed overnight in her hotel room and then I drove back this morning.

Potomac Mills is not gone. You may have went into a section in which they are remodeling and/or adding on to. Potomac Mills would never shut down because too much revenue is made from the shopping center. I go there on a weekly basis, and I seen no signs of it being closed over the past weekend.

You're probably right. It's been a whole buncha years since I've been there, and when the entrance I thought I remembered was closed off and I saw nothing but construction activity, I spent about a half an hour driving around looking for another entrance. I didn't find any.

Let's have a consensus with the 'wild party' definition.

As far as the forums go, a 'wild party' will consist of:

-At least one appearance of a uniformed, on duty, office of the peace
-At least one person urinating on themselves while fully clothed and conversing.
-At least one physical altercation

just some ideas..... feel free to add

I'm guessing it's not enough to have the bathroom collapse on you or have someone fall into the pool...

Well, okay, by your definition it wasn't so wild.

One uniformed officer of the National Park Service was there in uniform, and she was dining with her partner.

We did not carefully inspect private bodily functions of anybody, so that item is not verifiable.

If there was a physical altercation, we did not witness it.
