She didn't "cut in line" as much as the woman let her step in front of her. Nobody's transaction should have any bearing on anybody elses transaction in that line. It is ridiculous to think expect compensation.
I had read, "Mindy Crandell, 34, says that she and her daughter allowed the eventual Powerball jackpot winner, 84-year-old Gloria C. Mackenzie,
cut ahead of them in line at a Zephyrhills, Fla., grocery store to buy lottery tickets.
The cashier allowed Crandell the opportunity to reclaim her place in line, ABC News reports, but Crandell declined, allowing Mackenzie to go ahead of them. And apparently, the big winner knows it."
So to me, I had interpreted this as the winner did cut in line, but the other woman didn't put up a fuss... I guess it is all up to your interpretation.
