Prayers needed for a wonderful family

Hi All, I met this wonderful couple this May when I did the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Monica is stage IV, and has taken a turn for the worse. Her husband Dale has been a rock. He walked this year for her since she was too sick. Here is their web site:

What a wonderful human being she seems to be. She should be an inspriation to all. What strength she has. I think she will be my new hero. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family. I will continue to follow her story and say a daily prayer for her.

I have an aunt who is dying from terminal cancer. My brothers and I had a 50 year anniversary party for my parents this past weekend and my aunt, given only a week to live, came out. She figured on staying about an hour, but wanted to honor my parents. And honor them she did by staying over 4 hours. What an example of internal strength.

As are Monica and Dale. We under-estimate the internal strength of these wonderful people, but I never expected the example they are to me always reminding me how God blesses us all in ways that we just can't anticipate or understand.

Thank you Monica and Dale for sharing your difficult journey. My prayers are with you and God's loving embrace.

UPDATE: I have been keeping up with this and Monica is not doing well. Now as always is a good time to say a prayer for her and her wonderful family. God bless them during this awful time and I hope they can find peace. My thoughts and prayers have been sent.

I know, it is so sad. In addition to reading this daily, I also get updates from one of our team members who is very close with the family. I sounds like things are pretty close to the end. I feel so sad for her family. I guess the only positive thing is that she will no longer be suffering. It seems her pain has been harder and harder to manage. When my Mom was passing back in December, they were giving her the morphine every hour. It really seemed to help her physical discomfort. Many prayers for her and her wonderful family!!

My dad was the same was when he was passing, morphine non stop to help with the pain.

I've taken a few moments to read the blog over the last two days. What a strong, courageous individual Monica was! My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. May she rest in peace and watch over her husband and two sons until they meet w/her again.

After reading over the blog, there are no words. Wow.

The only thing I can come up with is that Dale is probably the most wonderful man I have ever "met" and that Monica was truly lucky to have him in her life.

May her family find half the peace that I'm sure Monica has found.
