Prayers needed for my 3 year old niece

My family just notified me that they are on their way to Children's Hospital to admit my niece. The doctor just called after receiving lab results back and said to take her directly there. Apparently she has juvenile diabetes. The doctor said her numbers were off the chart.

Say a prayer for the family. It's really tough when a little one is sick.

is that something that they can grow out of or will it eventually be a case of regular diabetes when she grows up?

Your family is in my prayers. It is tough when a kid is sick. Your niece is going to a good place, that's where my niece was sent when we found out she was type 1 diabetic ( she was 3 1/2 Yrs old) and they were wonderful with us. Dr. Fran Cogen is her Endocrinologist. Just be prepared to take classes on learning how to deal with diabetes and how to help her deal with it also.

Type 1 diabetes (juvenile) is something they will never out grow. It'll be a life long battle with needles, insulin and finger pricks. Unless of course we develop a cure between now and then, lets hope for that.
