I have a feeling Mr. Bush is going to announce the resignation of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

I imagine CBS, ABC will cover it (I know if NBC does, NBC 4 won't so there's no point).

I hope you're wrong. One of the things I REALLY don't like about the Republicans is the way they hang each other out to dry. If there was a real infraction, then yeah - you should denounce the act and kick 'em out. But Republicans have this nasty habit of throwing people out for the dumbest things.

This Gonzales thing is overblown nothing, just like Michael Brown "resigning" over Katrina.

Damn, he is giving the smackdown. I don't think I have ever seen him so assertive and confrontational.

I'm glad. This whole thing is a political witch hunt. They're just trying to get Karl Rove under oath then it will become Iraq, Abu Ghraib, Scooter Libby, CIA Leak, Walter Reed, :blahblah:

It is indicative of some type of mental illness the democrats obsess over Rove.

They are so desperate to be ugly and find ANYTHING they make mountains out of mole hills.

It is quite tiresome, I hope voters remember this bullchit come election time.

So what happened? I missed it!
Same old stuff just a tad bit more forceful.

Democrats are engaging in political fishing expeditions.

We sent an unprecedented amount of information on the firings to congress all ready.

We are going to allow White House aides to have private meetings with congress, not under oath, we are not going to allow spectacles of show trials in congress.

They serve at my pleasure, I appointed them, I can dismiss them.

Gonzales has my support.

There is no scandal.

If I were him, I'd have a hard time not blowing my temper. He has to be about fed up with this crap - I know I am.

And if I have to hear Valerie Plame's whining one more time..... :buttkick:

It is tiresome listening to Lehey and the rest of the shriek monsters :jameo: endlessly.

What they want to find so desperately is an email from Rove to Gonzales that says, "The US Attorney in Idaho is investigating a Republican and he is close to indicting him for bribes/fraud/banging sheep while wearing an evening gown and terrible earrings, fire him now!"

They are not going to find it, they know it, everyone knows it but they want to create the seed in the minds of the sheep that it "might have".

It is disgusting.

You sound a little turned on.
I was until he started stuttering. :ohwell:

I wish he would shuck this civil crap and go Texas on them, guns blazing. They are not going to be civil with him, why reciprocate.

For once we agree. The Democrats are so desperate to get a scandal after what happened to Mr. Clinton that I've not heard one of these liberals say "They serve at the will of the President."

Olbermann, Leahy, Clinton, all of them, they're all talking scandal, ignoring the fact that what he did is perfectly legal in the Constitution. Executive powers, sorry.

I think he had a good reason to fire a few of them. One for not taking up immigration and terrorism cases. One for not hearing the issue of voter fraud. Those are good enough reasons for me, Republican or Democrat.
