I'm replacing my old computer and will want to sell it soon. Where can I find information on how much to ask for it? It's an HP Pavilion w/17 inch monitor and is about 3 years old.

I've checked Ebay, but thought there might be better sources out there. TIA for any help.

If it's pre-pentium 4 it's probably not much. I've always wiped out my old one and reloaded it for spare/other duty, or scavenged it.

Come to think of it that's why I have so much junk in the computer room. :ohwell:

I got rid of all those spare computers, printers, etc. when I moved and donated them to charity.

BTW Jazz, what pavilion model do you have?

The model number is XT 868. It has an AMD Athlon processor (not sure of the speed), 80 GB hard drive, 24X CD/RW and DVD player, 192 MB RAM, 56K modem, 3.5 inch floppy, Polk Audio speakers.

I bought it about 2.5/3 years ago from Sam's Club, so I think it designed especially for them.

have a dumpster near by?

honestly, used computers don't garner a lot of money. best to either toss it, or donate it

I figured it wasn't worth much. My nieces and nephews already have computers nicer than this one. :lmao: If I can't sell it, I'll give it to the schools and write it off on taxes.
