I still don’t know why he stopped his insurrection.
Wagner Boss Behind Failed Russian Coup Dead in Plane Crash, Russian Agency Confirms
Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was among passengers on a plane that crashed northwest of Moscow on Aug. 23, and there were no survivors, according to Russian officials.
The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry told TASS News and RIA Novosti that all 10 people on board the private plane died in the crash in Tver Oblast, and Mr. Prigozhin was on the list of passengers on board the plane. Photos of the crash show what appears to be the wreckage of a plane on fire in a field.
Later on Aug. 23, the Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency said in a Telegram statement that Mr. Prigozhin died in the plane crash.

I've read a couple articles on this, since. Probably a bad move on Putin's part (because there was no chance this wasn't an assassination).
Mostly because, when you kill a journalist - or an activist - people shudder, but move on.
When you kill one of top guys, however, it's near the end - you face what Hitler faced. Top brass wondering - am I next? Should I tell him the truth - or lie to save my skin?
I'd be happy about this except that anyone who succeeds Putin will certainly be as bad - the only upside to his removal, is it gives his successor a way to save face and end the war.

I’m thinking he may not have been on the plane, it seems just to easy. He’s probably in some KGB rat hole being microwaved for 30 seconds at a time.
