Printer possessed again

This time it won't feed one page. It feeds more than one and then prints part of page one on the first sheet and part on the next and a 5 page document winds up being 36. Okay, that is exaggerating, but still. Someone please rescue me and save a tree!

You seem to have an evil spirit in your toner cartridge housing.

Call a priest.

There is either too much paper in it or the paper is sticking together....

try taking some of the paper out of the tray and/or taking all the paper out and on the ends(short side of the paper) flipping it like you would a "moving comic" page book(not sure what they are called)....replace the paper and try to print again

Humidity will do that. Do like 1bdz suggests; take the paper out, fan it, and try it. If not, replace the paper with fresh.

The other thing it could be is dirty pickup rollers.

:yeahthat: or it is more commonly called fanning the paper. Sometimes when mine does that crap I have to disconnect it from the computer and turn it off and unplug it, wait 30 seconds and put everything back together again. That usually fixes the issue. Hope something works out for ya, if not, go ahead and call that priest! :lmao:

Pookieboo!!!
Since I said it first....can I say that I am a IT professional on my resume?

Or would that be considered something else all together

I wouldn't. If you're in an office full of non-technical people, they may ask you to turn water into wine.

Clean the feed tires and the separation tire/pad. Feed tires turn and drive in the top sheet, the separation unit is supposed to hold back all but the first sheet of paper. Clean them all with a little (very little) citrus cleaner and then allow to dry (maybe even hit it with an alcoho wipe to clear up any excess cleaner).

What kind of printer?

HP Laserjet 2100M

Thanks for the fanning idea. I need to figure out the roller situation; I'll try that in the morning. The fanning works for one or two times, then it does it again. Citrus cleaner? Can I use lemon juice or is this something else entirely? Can I just use alcohol prep? Thanks everyone!
