Private Pre=K in Calvert County

Can anyone recommend a pre-k near the Prince Frederick area? I wasn't able to get her into the public school - they only took 20 kids and filled up fast. I'd really prefer a place without daycare - just want to pay for the school part of it - does that exist?? I've tried googling but I'm not coming up with much!

I wish I had an answer for you. I'm interested in responses too because I don't know what is available in our area.

I think we need to get our baby boys on a waiting list now!

I'm afraid so!! These are the parts I wish came with a manual!!! I had no idea when I called in June, before school let out, that they had been full, with a waiting list, since March!!!

All I do know, is that I cannot let her stay home with another year!! Love her to death, but too much of good thing isn't always a good thing - she needs that structure back!!!

I live in Southern Calvert and sent my sons to one in St Mary's. I know that First Lutheran in Huntingtown has a pre-school. They give a # you can call to find out about availability. Little Lambs Preschool

I don't know anything about the school though so I can't say whether it's good or not. Sorry.

Well, do me a favor because your kids are older than my son. Write that manual as you go and help a friend out.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for http://www.littleproteges.com/index.php.

Looks really nice, thanks for the info. Do you have a child that goes there?

I know your boys are only a few months older than mine but you have a 4 yr old. So you can write my manual based on what you find out for her. I bet "B" will have a lot of fun with kids her own age.

Several of the churchs have Pre school...Trinity Methodist used to have one. I know St. John Vianney has one. Not sure how "religious" it is. Last I heard there was still room.

And I did wind up with a church pre-k!! She's officially in as of this morning! The program is not religious - good because we aren't Methodist! The link Speedy70 gave seemed like a really nice place - but their tuition was way too high for what else is around - not to mention, they are a center and I really just wanted the 'school' part.

That's great you were able to get her in so quickly. Let us know how she likes it. How often does she go?
