Thinking of buying a bunch of these (100 or so) to plant along a property line. Anybody ever have them before? Looking at buying ones only about 8" tall, and wondering how long they'd take to get about 3' or so. TIA

They get WAY too tall. Want something that tops out at 10-15 feet.

But the "American Mutt" variety grows the tallest! :yay:
:jet: Sure you don't have 'Redwood' in your family tree?

Sexy1, privet hedges grow very fast and will reach 3 feet very quickly. They can grow as high as 12 to 15 feet tall, so they have to be regularly pruned. They are extremely hardy and grows well in most soils.

This is your captain!
I was looking at some hedges like what you want, up at Lowe's over the weekend. They were about 5-ft tall, around $28 each. The tag said they grow to about 15 feet by 4 feet. I don't remember what they were called. The tag said they grew "moderately", between fast and slow. Anyone know what "moderate" growth speed is?
