Did it yesterday.
Portis is a lock.
-Leads the league in rushing
-Only rb averaging over 100 yards per game
-Second in rushing touchdowns with 6 (1 behind Ronnie Brown)
-2nd in the NFL in yards per carry for rbs over 100 carries
-1st in the NFL among rbs with first down carries
-1st in the NFL with 20+ yard runs

Wow, they've opened voting after just 6 out of 17 weeks? Not that this is news, but it further demonstrates that it's just a popularity contest and has little to do with recognizing the season's best players.
I think it would be cool if they changed the Pro Bowl format. Instead of NFC vs. AFC, make it fans' selections vs. players' selections. Let the fans vote for the players they want and the NFL players/coaches can vote for the players that they think are most deserving. Somehow they could decide who got the overlapping players and then let the two teams play each other. Maybe Dominoes could offer 1/2 price pizza all week if the fans' team won. (or some other silly promotion)
