Along the side of one fairway where I used to play, there were lots of Mississippi Kites. When they were nesting, they'd come after players who came anywhere near them. We had to walk with our clubs held over our heads so they didn't dive bomb us from behind, but...

WE NEVER HIT GOLF BALLS AT THEM!

Of course, we probably would never even come close even if we tried.
