I know I am heavily biased against the policies and spending of President Obama and his loyal left majority in Congress. I have many friends on both sides of the political fence - most are very vocal. I get a lot of political e-mail seemingly 100% against the Prez and his plans. Has anyone received PRO-Obama e-mails? I haven't seen one yet. Even in the political forum here, I never see pro-Obama articles. Most are against him or against George Bush.

You would think so - but I don't read it that way. I see the 2008 election, not as an election for Obama so much as it was an election against Bush. Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) is very real.

Sure, Obama was smooth and eloquent, but I think the Democrats could have run anyone against McCain and won. Obama was very effective in connecting Bush and McCain. While McCain, as a Republican was very much a less eloquent Democrat.

For a man that appeared to be so popular, he onlywon by 8% of the popular vote - not truly the mandate to reshape America as he so often speaks of.

I don't argue that he didn't won fair and square - I just can't believe the majority of his supporters thought massive deficit was the Hope & Change" he was preaching. Hmmmm - sounds like a good topic for another poll. Obama ran the best campaign money (some of it legal) could buy. It must be every politicians dream to have TONS of money and the media loving and sipporting you every step of the way.

I'm certainly not happy knowing the inflation that is coming due to all this massive spending. Here (link below) is the simplest explanation I could find on the causes of inflation. The only thing missing is: "See Obama spending policies."

What Causes Inflation?

On one side I keep hearing from the news media how unpopular Obama's decisions are, but on the other side I hear how his popularity polls indicate how the percentages still say he's great. Kind of a conflict there wouldn't ya think? Which news media is lying?

Who's whining? Did you even red the poll choices?

People could not get it through their heads that Bush wasn't running. Which speaks volumes about the electorate.

I'm as confused as you about that. The polls are very misleading. I saw polls that showed Americans has no confidence in his administration's ability to help the economy and like you, I see polls showing a decent amount of popularity.

But then, Mickey Mouse is popular and I don't think he can fix the economy either.

I believe a very large portion of his loyal supporters will say the "love" him no matter what he does. I can't realize that type of support lasting much longer unless concrete results occur.

Obama can play to a crowd and make them believe he cares for their plight. At some point - that will get OLD. Just my opinion, of course. At this point, I'm willing to wager he'll win again in 2012. And I say that because the Republicans still have not reformed their platform and there's to much infighting and blame gaming on. I hope & pray they get it together to come back and SAVE America from the looney liberals... :deadhorse
