Proverbs 5:21 For your ways are in full view of the Lord,
and he examines all your paths.
22 The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them;
the cords of their sins hold them fast.
23 For lack of discipline they will die,
led astray by their own great folly.

Perhaps, like David, we do some wrong things in secret (2 Samuel chapters 11 and 12). A woman might tempt a man. They might think that nobody knows. They are wrong because God knows. He sees our secret actions. He knows everything that we do in private. Like David, if we have done wrong things, we should turn to God. David’s prayer in Psalm 51 will help us to understand why we must ask God to forgive us.
The evil man is foolish. He thinks that he is free. But his evil behaviour will make him into a slave. He can hide his actions from other people. But he cannot hide from God (Numbers 32:23). This man’s evil behaviour will destroy him. This man should invite God into his life. This man needs to ask God to forgive him. God will save the evil man, but only if the man trusts God.

Now this looks like sound advice from someone who knows. Doing right is a choice. Solomon would have known what was right and what was wrong. David murdered his lover's husband. Solomon knew the consequences of doing wrong.
HOWEVER... IMHO... the commentator needs to come back and look at these verses... in the proper context.... Bathsheba taking a bath was not intended to tempt David. The "me too" movement would have gone ballistic back in David's day. It was normal for a woman to bathe on the rooftop in the middle of the day. What wasn't normal was a bored king David trying to find something to do while his troops were out on the battlefield. Bathsheba had no say in the matter... AND on top of that IMHO.... I'm pretty sure she didn't really have a choice. David did..... I don't think Solomon got that part... but I do think Solomon knew it was wrong to be with a woman who is married to another.
Now that I'm retired, I crochet in front of the television a lot. I like to watch westerns... hubby's retired too so it's something not too mind numbing that we can both watch. [A girl can only watch so much news or gospel] The westerns always have a theme... good verses evil... white hat black hat.... white horse black horse....
Wouldn't it be wonderful.... if everyone understood... God is your compass.... there's a little "spirit" in there.... screaming warnings or praise... all you gotta do is listen.... Consequences could be good or bad.... listening to the "spirit" can help avoid the bad consequences.
