Football Mom!!!
The boy got his Madden 08 earlier today and now is bugging me about an online subscription. I went onto the EA website but didn't find what I was looking for. So my questions to anyone that can help are: How do I do it? What do I need? How much does it cost? And if you have played it before do you think it is suitable for an 8yo? Thanks!! He doesn't like playing against the computer and the kids in the neighborhood are not interested in playing football.

If it's on the PS2, it shouldn't cost anything to play online. You just need a router to connect the machine to the internet. PS2 has always been free to play online, which is something XBox should consider doing too.

Okay! So do they make a wireless card for the PS2?

No, you'd have to get a wireless access point (if I'm calling it the correct name) and plug the PS 2 into that.

Microsoft's LIVE seems to be doing VERY well for itself though. While I don't like the idea of paying for a subscription (which reminds me, mine is about to expire! Crap), they offer a lot of extras besides the multi-player gaming a lot of people seem to enjoy (the HD movies, preview videos and demos for upcoming games, the classic games, etc...).

I will have to look in to it. I am pretty much clueless to anything that came out after Crash Bandicoot...I will probably stop in GameStop this weekend and see/get whatever it is we need. Thank you!

Good Luck, if they don't have anything Best Buy would have what you need. :yay:
