My experience with school boards is that going to any meeting with hopes of dissuading them from anything they have already decided on is a complete and total waste of time. When they open a meeting for public discussion the purpose of that meeting has already been decided on and the open meeting is just an act being put on by the board.
I'd much rather sniff the statue than the model.
