Rocky Mountain High!!
My boy got his license this week sop BEWARE!!

My real question is....do you all with both boys and girls expect different things of them regarding sexual experimentation? Now that he has his license, I'm sure he'll want to tool over to the girl friend's house, and I don't want ANY unaccounted for time

I told my girls that I'd appreciate it if they waited until they were 18 before they made a choice to become sexually active, and then once they did that they were absolutely sure this fellow was worth the gift they gave him. Thankfully, they did. Is it fair, or the "right" thing to do to ask my son to do the same?? Rottncop definately treats him differently, he often jokes with him about stuff like um...well...guy stuff...that he would never say to our girls. He told me that His advice to the boy was going to be to keep the squirtie end out :shocking:
HELP!!

There is definitely a double-standard in our household. I don't know why because it's still going to shake us up if there's an unwanted pregnancy, regardless of whether it was the boy or one of the girls.

I think it's natural to want your daughters to stay away from sex more than you want your son to. Maybe it's because they take it more seriously than the boys do or something - there's that old stereotype that boys go rutting around any barnyard that will have them, but girls fall in love and get hurt. Or maybe it's because teen girls who have sex are still considered sluts, but the boys aren't. Maybe it's because the girl is the one that gets derailed if she gets pregnant, while the boy doesn't even have to miss a day of school.

Dunno, but the talks I've had with the girls were why they should wait and the talks Larry had with the boy were be a gentleman and use protection. :ohwell:

It's stupid, really.

We just had this talk here at work. One of the guys said basically the same thing you did, Vrai. The double standard is still very alive. Boys are studs, girls are sluts. The guy here at work told his boy that is crap and that if he sleeps around he's a slut too and responsible for giving the girl a slutty reputation. :ohwell:

I only have two girls, and so I don't really think about how to approach it from the boy's end of things. Though it scares me - my oldest is 10, so we're not there yet. They grow up SO fast these days, though! It won't be long before I have to discuss this with her. I'm just gonna try and get them to understand that it isn't worth it and that they shouldn't do it until they are MUCH older (Like 50).

My mom always told me with boys you have one little Pee-Pee to keep track of, with girls you have 100 little Pee-Pees to keep track of. I also don't have a full brother either :lmao:

SOOOO....do i let Ole Rottncop have his way and do i keep my nose out of it?? He also house broke him. I had no idea how to do that....although I must admit I was nervous to let him, after the story his mom told me of how she trained him to pee in a mason jar, which he promptly took a sip of the first time he did it OOPS did i just type that? Good GAWD he'd kill me if he knew I mentioned that! :shocking:
