Public Sewer for St. Leonard Town Center

The St. Leonard Vision Group has requested the Calvert County Board of County Commissioners to fund a sewer feasibility study in FY2009 for the St. Leonard Town Center. The request was received in time for consideration in the annual update of the six-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP), but the Commissioners have moved the request for funding onto a "wish list." An action to complete a sewer feasibility study to explore alternatives that would bring sewerage services to the Town Center is listed in the St. Leonard Master Plan and is now over five years overdue.

The six-year CIP is reviewed and updated annually. The annual update to the six-year CIP for FY2009-2014 does not contain funding for any capital improvement projects for St. Leonard Town Center.

Tell the Calvert County Board of County Commissioners that this action is long overdue and must be funded in FY2009 in accordance with the Calvert County Comprehensive Plan and St. Leonard Master Plan. Tell them its not being "parachuted" in for FY2009 because it should have already been completed according to their own official policy documents.

The Board of County Commissioners meets on Tuesday's beginning at 10:00 a.m. The meeting is held in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room, 2nd floor of the County Courthouse, 175 Main Street, Prince Frederick, Maryland. The meeting is open to the public and generally lasts the business day.
