Pull the Stick Out: Part II

The service industry isn't the only workplace that the phrase "demeaning & unpleasant" could apply to. That rep. talks like dealing with irate customers is some higher calling. "Pull the stick out" is right.

Hmm, if I could do aaaanything in the world... would I be an international music star or would I flip burgers?

Yeah, I can see how that would be a tough choice.

Unless you are an insured homeowner in New Orleans..

Dateline did a show on a fairly nice neighborhood where all the homes were insured.. only ONE company was at 0% coverage for all their insured homes.. State Farm.

I missed the name, but there was one company that covered 100% of their insured homes, at least in that particular neighborhood.

Maybe that is what the fast food people should resent more: the implication that K-Flop even has the mental capacity to handle one of their jobs.

The case they were all fighting.. none of them had flood insurance.. State Farm and others were all claiming that the houses that were blown off of their foundations were all flood damage..

One company came in and through their investigation said no, not flood damage and paid the claims. All the other "investigations" came out in the insurance companies favor.. one investigation was done from 5 states away, they never even left their offices.

And it's not like the houses were flood damaged.. you couldn't see any mud or mold in the damage.. the houses were litereally blown apart, and off of their foundations.

Chief Executive Steven Anderson has written to Nationwide saying the ad leaves the impression that working in a restaurant is demeaning and unpleasant

Actually what leaves the impression that working in a restaurant is demeaning and unpleasant - is the fact that working in a restaurant is demeaning and unpleasant.

You have to deal with idiot customers who instantly assume that you're mildly retarded - and treat you accordingly - and have temper fuses that can be measured in nanometers. Plus, I don't care who you are, cleaning up the ####ter can never be turned into a pleasant experience.

The worst jobs of my life were in restaurants.

Indeed... Some of these homes 10 miles inland in Biloxi had no signs of flooding.

...and did any of these homes in Biloxi have the same amount of damage as those in the flooded 9th district of N.O.?

...or is this another of your attempts to use irrelevant information to bolster a bankrupt logic?
