Question, Evening Rush Hour, Solomons Bridge

I have never had the pleasure of being down south in California or Lexington Park during the evening rush, but by being on the forums quite often I have seen many a thread about bridge backups.
Well this Friday evening is the Sara Evans concert at Solomons and I plan to come down around 430 from up north (St Mary's), park the car in the big grass field and walk over to China Harbor, and have a nice chinese dinner.
My question is, is the evening backup on just the St. Marys side or can it be bad on the Calvert side also. I know its just little longer from where I live (Char. Hall) but Im thinking that going through Hughesville and Prince Frederick is the way to go. :coffee:

Unless there is wreck or broken down vehicle the backup isn't terrible. You may have to add some extra time but it doesn't take that long. I guess coming from a big city I have a different perspective then people that have lived here since before the base was so big.

I live on the Calvert side and travel the bridge for shopping.
In the evening as long as I leave the stores by 4-4:30pm I don't get caught in a back up. After that it takes on average of a 1/2hr longer due to traffic.

I've never sat in traffic on the Calvert side unless there was an accident.

Normal base traffic should not be bad at that time this Friday, a lot of base employees will be off that day. The most traffic will be concert traffic.

You may have a bit of a problem parking in the big grass parking lot too... that concert has been well advertised and the field is really close the museum.

You may have to park at China Harbour and walk to the concert.... :yay:
