I have a question regarding painting/artwork.. I have been collecting Kinkades (Thomas Kinkade) for awhile but have been looking into the Disney line of paintings.. I've found online a Kinkade Gallery selling them - even mini's.. but it says this "Comprised of Thomas Kinkade's most sought after images, the Classics Collection is carefully reproduced on cotton fibre canvas using the methods and materials used by the artist on his original paintings. Elegantly framed with museum quality materials to coordinate with the most popular frame styles in the Thomas Kinkade Limited Edition canvas collection, each piece in the Classics Collection comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity. " so these are "reproduced", not by Kinkade right? but are they worth anything? its saying they are on canvas... ??

They are "reproduced" by using the original piece of art and are done with the artists permission.

Thanks for all the great info.. 1 question.. as a reproduced thing - say I found a Publishers Proof, with COA, and numbered (48/55) - then it says lithograph - paper.. are these worth anything? I know I couldn't afford an orig canvas.. but is it worth more than a print w/a COA? Also, the wrapped canvas' - w/a COA - are those worth more than the litho??

I know that older lithograph's are worth quite a bit. I'm not familiar with which would be worth more the canvas or the litho, sorry.

There is some good info on lithographs here ~
