Question re: Fantasy Football

CityGrl

Time for a nap
So, the BF calls tonight and asks me to go down to the bookstore and buy a Fantasy Football magazine so he can make his draft choices tomorrow.

First of all, I walk in the bookstore and there are TEN different kinds of Fantasy Football magazines. Like I have ANY CLUE which one to buy (remember, I'm a girl here). So, I pick out two based on thickness and how pretty their covers are :)lmao:), go to the counter, and shell out $16.74 for his magazines!!!!!!!!!! :dead:

Excuse me, but what the heck is the fascination with Fantasy Football????? Do you even win anything when you're done? He'd better win back my $16.74...

It gives you an vested intrest in almost every game being played on a given week. Yes most are played for money and I would say the average league has a first place prize of a few hundred bucks, although I know some play for much more or less.

Yeah most of those mags are $5 + each but I ussually just buy one and do my other research on the internet. If you aren't a football fan I guess it could be hard to see what the attraction is, really it is not about the money, it is more about being able to make decisions week to week and trying to come up with a winning combo of players. Hope I gave you some insight.
