Question - Residential Land Survey??

Have a question that perhaps my fellow SOMD forum folks might be able to help with...I would like to have my land surveyed, so I understand the exact borders of my property.

Of course, I have a really good idea as to where these are but want the exact details...and have only been able to find companies that do commercial survey work (they have flat out turned down my offers for residential work). Any recommendations for how I might be able to get this done?

And yes, I have the details of the land as recorded in the County's offices, but even that doesn't get me exactly what I need!

You can always call the title company or attorney you settled your home with, they can probably recommend one too.

Your plat should show who did the survey, at least in the ones I've seen. I would call them first.

Thanks for both of those recommendations - I haven't looked at the plat in a while, I will check it out and see if I can get any info off of there.

If you don't mind, would you let us know what kind of estimates you get back for folks saying they'll do the work.

I've got 1.25 acres, I want the same thing done to, but the estimates I hear from people (nor surveyors) are really scattered.

Just interested. Great threat and timely for me.
