My 4yr old dog who I keep inside with me and who is very house broke (or so I thought) Has all of the sudden started EATING/chewing -my house phones. She has eaten 4 in the last 5 days. I know strange right? She doesnt chew ANYTHING else. Dont know if its the ring or what that is bothering her. Has anyone else had this type of problem? :howdy:

Get one of those pay phones from the street corner. They are fairly indestructable and his teeth would hurt like a mother! Problem solved.

Where are you leaving the phones? Are they up on tables? Is she doing it when you're not home?

Yep, they are on a dresser. She ONLY does it when we are not home.

I think that's your problem, the dog is upset about getting left alone...

Might be interesting to train your webcam on a phone if the computer is nearby while you are out to see exactly what is going on. There's lots of free motion activated webcam software out there. Some cams even come with it...

Almost the same problem, though our dog licks her feet raw. She only does it when left alone - separation anxiety.
Since she is a Boxer and high strung anyway I usually take her out for a long walk or run to tire her out. Always works!
