Did the St. Mary's Sheriff's Dept. and State Troppers switch to digital broadcast?

All I get on my scanner lately is Fire and Rescue.

Ah yeah, I think I will just take it back to Radio Shack and have them re-prorgam it.

It depends on where you're at as to how good your reception is or how you can program your frequencies. I'm close to a repeater, so I can have conventional frequencies programmed in and my squelch set a little higher. But, if I'm driving, I have to keep the squelch all the way down so I can pick everything up. I used to have to lock out the conventional frequencies, now I just don't program them in.

It's sometimes hit or miss for me, think alot has to do with the northern tower on Mt Wolfe Rd. I get Charles great, PG pretty good and Calvert pretty good, its St. Marys the one I have most trouble with.

Scanner in now fixed.
Works much better in the scan mode vice manual mode.
