Question.

Mostly for big cruiser riders I guess. Most of the wind noise I get, I finally realized, is coming from an updraft from my legs. I can feel it blowing right up and past my shoulders. Be nice to get rid of that. Do lower fairings help?

Yes or they make deflectors that bolt to the forks.

I've noticed that, when I ride with my knees tight to the gas tank, there is less wind in my face. (I have a windshield only and no fairing). When I open my legs, a lot of wind hits my face along with the noise it brings.

I'm assuming you have a fairing? "Lowers" do help but wind and road noise, although lessened considerably, still happen. Some of it always manages to sneak around the windshield...

Yep, upper fairing seems to deflect all the wind past the head area. Just a few inches up or out and I can feel it.

Gas X might help!!

Sorry Dr, I've got no frame of reference. If there's odd air currents I just push the "change air" button, and if the road noise gets to be too much, I use the "put up canopy" button and turn up the 5.1 surround sound system. Goes well with the HD HUD on the windscreen.

Don't you just turn the AC up or down to suit in the summer and simply adjust the fireplace in cooler weather on a Wing???

Dudes I ride with who have HD fork mounted fairings, one a Street, the other an Ultra, have the little air baffle thingies mounted on their fairings. I think you can get them from HD, installed, for something under $1,000.

Each.

I have the Ultra Limited and moving from the Road King Classic to it, I definitely notice the difference with the lowers... Guy I know had a Road King Custom with a piece he bought that just strapped to your crash bars... he swore by them even in winter to keep the air off his legs... as I recall he said they didn't cost that much... made out of leather or something... sorry... should have paid more attention... but there are cheaper alternatives...
