How much extra money and how quickly?

There are a myriad of venues to increase your holdings. All you need do is look around at what others are doing and replicate it.

If not interested in getting your hands dirty get a broker and tell them what to do with your money. Long term investments that pay dividends, CMO's or some other type of safe govt backed fund that will pay you 5-6%. Beats hell out of 1/2 - 3/4% from you saving acct.
