Quran 10:61. You do not get into any situation, nor do you recite any Quran, nor do you do anything, but We are watching over you as you undertake it. Not even the weight of an atom, on earth or in the sky, escapes your Lord, nor is there anything smaller or larger, but is in a clear record.
62. Unquestionably, God’s friends have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve.
63. Those who believe and are aware.
64. For them is good news in this life, and in the Hereafter. There is no alteration to the words of God. That is the supreme triumph.
65. And let not their sayings dishearten you. All power is God’s. He is the Hearer, the Knower.
66. Certainly, to God belongs everyone in the heavens and everyone on earth. Those who invoke other than God do not follow partners; they follow only assumptions, and they only guess.
67. It is He who made the night for your rest, and the daylight for visibility. Surely in that are signs for people who listen.
68. And they said, “God has taken a son.” Be He glorified. He is the Self-Sufficient. His is everything in the heavens and everything on earth. Do you have any proof for this? Or are you saying about God what you do not know?
69. Say, “Those who fabricate lies about God will not succeed.”
70. Some enjoyment in this world; then to Us is their return; then We will make them taste the severe punishment on account of their disbelief.
This is the commentary this morning.
The clear book mentioned here is not, of course, a collection of written or printed sheets bound together. It is the book of the Divine law which makes every deed, good or evil, great or small, bring its reward. That there can be something less than an atom is one of those wonderful scientific disclosures of which the Holy Qur’ån is full; in modern scientific language, the atom can be broken into pieces.
The friends of Allåh are those who help the Divine cause and invite people to faith in God. They attain to that spiritual height where fear and grief are unknown. There is also a prophecy of the ultimate triumph of Truth, for when a man attains his object, all his fear is gone and he no more grieves for the sacrifices he has made; v. 64 makes it clear.
The Holy Prophet said: “There has remained nothing of prophethood except mubashsharåt.” Asked what is meant by mubashsharåt, he replied, “Good visions”. Elsewhere good visions are said to be a part of prophethood, which shows that, as the prophets were informed of the triumph of Truth, so will their followers be given this good news in their visions. The upholders of the Divine cause, we are thus told, will not only be successful — they will also receive the good news of their ultimate triumph in good visions.
The words of Allåh here signify the prophecies. It is the prophecy of the good reward for the faithful that is mentioned immediately before these words, and the meaning of there being no change is that the prophetic word must be fulfilled; compare similar words used in 6:34, 115 and 18:27.In the previous verse, the Prophet is told not to be grieved at what the disbelievers said. “Might belongs wholly to Allåh,” he is there told, and, therefore, no force in the world could frustrate the Divine purpose. The same idea is here expressed in the words “Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allåh’s”.
OK... check out verse 68. It's clearly about Jesus.
Now the Muslims do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God. The Jewish, Christians, and the Muslims all worship the same God.... The Jewish do not recognize Jesus as the Son of God. I find here, now, that the Muslims don't believe Jesus is the Son of God either. They don't believe for different reasons.
The Jews know God is going to send the Messiah. Jesus was that Messiah but since He didn't arrive with an army of Divine Angels to murder any non-believer... they reject Him. The Jews think the Son of God will be more like King David..... the man who had an affair with a soldier's wife, got her pregnant, and when the good soldier wouldn't be "tricked" into raising that baby as his own, caused the soldier and the baby to die. [first abortion?] Well that's who they think the Son of God should be like. A failed human.
The Muslims have a different spin on why they don't believe Jesus is the Son of God. They say.... God doesn't need a Son.... He's self sufficient. He's never going to die.... so He doesn't need a Son to pass anything down to. Further, they don't think the Son of God should come from a human woman like spilled sperm on an unwed whore. After all, God didn't marry Mary..... she just bore His Son. If God made humans marry.... then why wouldn't if follow that God would marry? But God isn't Human. Why do humans keep wanting God to do only human tricks?
I Believe God sent His Son through a human woman to conquer death and take away the "you don't understand what being a tempted human is like because you are not human" argument on Judgement Day. God doesn't want humans messing up the Judgements with that stupid argument. So.... God created a Son in the womb of Mary of Nazareth who was betrothed to Joseph. Jesus lived a human life without giving in to temptation. He was human so He felt every depravity we humans face, but He didn't give in, proving Humans can survive temptation, if they really choose to do so.
Jesus isn't God's Son for God's riches or God's inheritance. Jesus is the Son of God because God needed to know what temptation was really like. Jesus is the human side of God.... Jesus is God's Son.... human and Godly..... and don't forget.... Mary was only a human who God used. Mary was not a goddess.... and saying or implying she was ever anything but human.... well.... that's what caused the Muslims to deny Jesus as the Son of God.
I get their reasoning.... it's better than what the Jewish religion came up with, IMHO.
Jesus, the Son of God, is more than just spilled sperm.
