Quran 13:8. God knows what every female bears, and every increase and decrease of the wombs. With Him, everything is by measure.
9. The Knower of the Invisible and the Visible; the Grand, the Supreme.
10. It is the same; whether one of you conceals his speech, or declares it; whether he goes into hiding by night, or goes out by day.
11. He has a succession; before him and behind him, protecting him by God’s command. God does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves. And if God wills any hardship for a people, there is no turning it back; and apart from Him they have no protector.
12. It is He who shows you the lightening, causing fear and hope. And He produces the heavy clouds.
13. The thunder praises His glory, and so do the angels, in awe of Him. And He sends the thunderbolts, striking with them whomever He wills. Yet they argue about God, while He is Tremendous in might.
14. To Him belongs the call to truth. Those they call upon besides Him do not respond to them with anything—except as someone who stretches his hands towards water, so that it may reach his mouth, but it does not reach it. The prayers of the unbelievers are only in vain.
15. To God prostrates everyone in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows, in the morning and in the evening.
16. Say, “Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?” Say, “God.” Say, “Have you taken besides Him protectors, who have no power to profit or harm even themselves?” Say, “Are the blind and the seeing equal? Or are darkness and light equal? Or have they assigned to God associates, who created the likes of His creation, so that the creations seemed to them alike? Say, “God is the Creator of all things, and He is The One, the Irresistible.”
17. He sends down water from the sky, and riverbeds flow according to their capacity. The current carries swelling froth. And from what they heat in fire of ornaments or utensils comes a similar froth. Thus God exemplifies truth and falsehood. As for the froth, it is swept away, but what benefits the people remains in the ground. Thus God presents the analogies.
18. For those who respond to their Lord is the best. But as for those who do not respond to Him, even if they possessed everything on earth, and twice as much, they could not redeem themselves with it. Those will have the worst reckoning; and their home is Hell—a miserable destination.

And this is the commentary.

The wombs fall short of completion when no gestation takes place. The physical law of nature is spoken of here with a deeper reference to the spiritual law, according to which some receive a new birth through the Prophet and others do not. The subject is made clearer in the verses that follow.
A general law is given expression to with a deeper reference to the secret and open counsels against the Prophet and to enemies seeking his life by day and by night. A perusal of the history of his life shows that those who sought his life sometimes followed him secretly, when he went out to pray during the early hours of the morning, and sometimes openly followed him in the daytime with an evil purpose.
Matå‘ includes here all kinds of things necessary for the life of man, such as utensils, tools, implements, and instruments of war.
The parable set forth here signifies that the Holy Prophet and his followers will live and prosper, as they work for the good of man. On the other hand, evil practices and worthless usages and customs, as well as those who uphold them, will be swept away before the mighty current of Truth, as rubbish is borne away by a torrent.

So.... still think abortion is a personal issue?

On the general ideals of life.... as presented here.... God controls everything. We all think we are in charge of our own lives. When in fact there is a power struggle going on 24/7.... that we don't even have a say in, apparently.

It's natural for the top of the food chain to think they are "king of the jungle". Considering earth to be one big jungle which was made just for me to rule is a task just way too big for me to consider. I can't even be sure everything is running right in my home.... let alone the whole jungle that is earth. I can't even tell who is lying to me to save my feelings and who really believes in my current cause. Should I be in charge of the whole jungle? What a disaster that would be!

They say.... what ever happens happens.... there is no Divine Plan for human life... it's all just a happening. Yeah? So why is it that the guy who couldn't be bothered with believing in a God he cannot see, is always running into trouble? Why is it easier for a woman of faith to kick oxy and booze and bad men?

I'm not saying that Satan is sitting on one shoulder while God is on the other shoulder, and they are fighting for my soul. It's not like that. It's more like the fight is so much bigger than me.... it's already been decided which side I'm on.... that was evident to God when I was being formed in His thoughts. There are some people who will get the message when they are just knee high to a grasshopper and there are some who will absolutely join the other team. God knows who they are and what they will decide long before they are knitted in the womb. Before God counts out the number of hairs that will grown in a human's head, He knows if this human will Believe or not. Before God adorns a human with a color, or in my case polka dots, He knows what our trials will be and whether we will call on Him for help.

So.... What in the world does this have to do with thunder? Thunder is a warning..... and God wants all of us to stop and think for a second. We all think we are smart enough to run nations. When in truth.... we could be dead by lightning if that what's on God's schedule for today. God can send down a bolt of lightning any time and any place He chooses.

Sure.... we have the capacity to make our own decisions. He gifted us with that responsibility. We can change our minds.... but He already knew we were going to change our minds. God controls time.... the past and the future are just as clear as the present to Him. If we sneeze..... He knew we would sneeze before our forefathers even considered the idea of taking part in procreation... lovingly or violently.

God starts and stops life at His Will. We are only here at His whim.

God controls Life.
