Quran 16:10. It is He Who sends down for you from the sky water. From it is drink, and with it grows vegetation for grazing.
11. And He produces for you grains with it, and olives, and date-palms, and grapes, and all kinds of fruits. Surely in that is a sign for people who think.
12. And He regulated for you the night and the day; and the sun, and the moon, and the stars are disposed by His command. Surely in that are signs for people who ponder.
13. And whatsoever He created for you on earth is of diverse colors. Surely in that is a sign for people who are mindful.
14. And it is He who made the sea to serve you, that you may eat from it tender meat, and extract from it ornaments that you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, as you seek His bounties, so that you may give thanks.
15. And he cast mountains on the earth, lest it shifts with you; and rivers, and roads, so that you may be guided.
16. And landmarks. And by the stars they guide themselves.
17. Is He who creates like him who does not create? Will you not take a lesson?
18. And if you tried to enumerate the favors of God, you will not be able to count them. God is Forgiving and Merciful.
19. And God knows what you hide and what you disclose.
20. Those they invoke besides God create nothing, but are themselves created.
21. They are dead, not alive; and they do not know when they will be resurrected
This is the commentary for this morning.
The words of the Qur’ån seem to point to the great upheavals and the violent agitations which led to the formation of the mountains, before man’s existence on earth, and, that having been effected, the convulsions are now comparatively insignificant. The present condition of the earth, with man upon it, is therefore one of stability, making life possible. But an tamßda bi-kum may also mean that they may be a source of benefit to you as måda means he conferred a benefit. In accordance with this we have elsewhere: “And the mountains, He made them firm, a provision for you and for your cattle”.
These two verses show conclusively that neither Jesus Christ nor any other person who is taken for a god ever created anything; and secondly, that Jesus Christ was not alive at the time of the revelation of the Holy Qur’ån: Dead are they, not living. The further statement that they do not even know when they will be raised, shows that the verse speaks of men taken for gods, and at any rate includes them
Oh come on..... Jesus didn't create anything on earth..... He wasn't here to be God. He was here to conquer death. I know the Quran has a problem with Jesus being the Son of God. In the Muslim interpretation.... that would have to make Mary a goddess..... and in some churches they treat her as such.... but she wasn't a goddess. She was a woman God used to allow His Son.... Him Incarnate.... to become human.
Artificial Insemination to the highest power.... that's what Mary went through. She never had sex until after Jesus was born. God used Mary for her womb. Should I say #metoo to get your attention?
Why is it humans never get the magnitude of God. I think humans don't really grasp what it took to create the earth, moon, stars and sun..... so they can't grasp God! God created Mary from a thought. Humans can't do that. So they made Mary a goddess because her son conquered death. Humans saw Him after He had been declared dead on the cross and was laid in a borrowed grave under guard by Roman Soldiers. Humans ate a meal with Him. He didn't come to earth to create. God created everything.... and on the seventh day.... He rested. There was nothing to create.... Jesus was here to conquer death. Just because your dad is in construction doesn't mean you have to be.
OK... the church in the days the Quran was put together.... were really ignorant. They didn't have a copy of the Bible. They "memorized" scripture from hand written text.... hand copied text. What ever they taught.... well there were no transcripts or video tape of their services. Today we could just go back and see what they said and discover any issues..... but back then.... bad preachers produced unbelievers.
Prophets worked really hard to put the Quran in order. Like bees to honey.... they slaved to make it right. So far... there are only small changes to the Old Testament chapters of the Bible in the Quran. Those changes actually clarify the Old Testament tales for me.
Muslims have a problem with Mary.... not Jesus..... Mary. Some Christian Churches made her into a goddess. That failure to understand caused a world of hurt for the purist who understands that Jesus didn't come to create.... and Jesus didn't come to be stuck on a throne like David or Solomon..... and Jesus didn't have to die on the cross.... He could have called down a legion of Angels. They forget..... or they weren't taught.... Jesus forgave everyone who asked for forgiveness. Mary was not a goddess.... Jesus was God..... in human form.
Jesus and Muhammed forgave everyone. Makes me wonder.... was Muhammed human? When Muslims bash Jesus because of Mary..... are they opening the door for Christians to bash Muhammed because he too forgave everyone? Over and over.... I read in the Quran that Muhammed put down his weapons and released all the prisoners. Isn't that what Jesus taught?
It's a real shame.... the adoration of Mary seems to get in the way.... like a woman smoking on the back deck would be in the way of the appointed rounds of the bees. Stupid ignorant mean humans..... made a goddess out of Mary.... causing strife in the world.
Jesus didn't come to create.
